Toy Stories #22 Santa’s Gifts

Shopping Bag

It’s my first time to play St. Nicholas Day .

St. Nicholas Day is a festival for children in many countries in Europe related to surviving legends of the saint, and particularly his reputation as a bringer of gifts. The American Santa Claus, as well as the Anglo-Canadian and British Father Christmas, derive from these legends.

Our American friend just told me about it, and so I decided to play it with my kids.

Remember when were kids, our mom and dad used to tell us to be good coz if you’re not, Santa will not give you a gift? I can still remember how happy I am when I experienced that tradition. It was Christmas eve (that’s when we do it in our country), my dad told us to hang our socks and on the next morning, me and my siblings were so happy to get a money inside our socks believing that Santa gave it to us. I will never forget how I felt that moment and now I can imagine my kids feelings when I played it with them. They believed  Santa gave those presents to them, they felt so proud for they have proven how good kids they are.

Look what they got from Santa…

Some parents don’t agree with this tradition, but we all have different views and beliefs so I respect those who don’t wanna do this kind of thing to their kids and I am hoping they will do the same with me too.
